Jesse Meyer

Jesse Meyer hails from a long line of leather tanners extending back to at least 1550. He has been working at his family's tannery, Pergamena Parchments & Leathers Inc. since 1997. He has spent the last 30 years rediscovering and refining the process of parchment making as well as doing hands-on leather production. He's had the opportunity to consult on and/or produce parchment and leather for projects in fields such as fashion and leather goods, interior and furniture design, manuscript conservation, medieval studies and anthropology, sustainable farming and manufacturing and modern leather manufacture.
